Here we are, 185 (186 if we count this one) posts have passed and our beloved year 2009 comes to an end. So how was it? Well for me I guess the first part was smeared with shit and misfortune while the other part was fine and dandy. The good part was when I got a new gramophone, bought a few comics, bought a bunch of music and bought myself the Blade Runner OST for Christmas. I also went to a few gigs and I also had 3 gigs as Smetnja (check myspace for photos etc.) and all three were a lot of fun. Another notable thing was that me and Khaos opened up Opium Fields which despite very low exposure had quite a lot of visits these past few months. If you haven't checked it out you might want to consider visiting it but take note that all links are rapidshare. The blog is mostly Khaos doing but I contribute now and then. There are also bad things that happened like the death of my hard drive. Now I know it might not sound like a big deal but it was to me. I have a habit of not burning anything on DVDs or CDs so I had all my photos, videos and everything dating back to elementary school there and it was all lost in one crappy day. I also regret that I didn't go to this years Supersonic festival which was held in Birmingham because I missed out a lot of bands that I'll probably will haft to wait 5+ years to see them again (or longer, I live in a great place). I'm sure it would have been a lot of fun but things just didn't work out.
Oh well, enough of my angst. Flying Teapot prospered well enough this year, I searched a bit around google and yahoo and it looks like FT is being mentioned around (mostly in the guro department and manga) on forums and other blogs. I guess I can thank my guro and manga posts for that but I think the music and movies also contributed a bit. There were a few fuck ups as well, I'll never do a themed week again. -_- I also haven't fixed any dead links that I promised to do. I feel bad about that so I hope to fix them during the holidays now that I have a bit more time.
In any case here are some stats:

05. Waita Uziga - In a Quagmire - Nukarumi no Naka (1073 downloadS)
All I can say is, wow. I'm very surprised by these numbers. Half of these things here I thought they will never be downloaded a lot (Mazzy Star what the hell? :D) while some things I thought that they will be downloaded a lot aren't so. If I remember right (too lazy to check) Totoro OST was first last year and now it fell down two places. Ironically another Joe Hisaishi soundtrack topped him haha. I'm mostly surprised with Mazzy Star and Mono because I thought stuff like that everybody has so I didn't expect that much downloads. I saw my link for Sun Ra in a few places so I guess that explains the high number.
Mangas didn't surprise me much except maybe for Toshio Maeda making it in the top 5. For such a thrashy manga it has quite a lot of downloads. Museum of Terror kept its first place and looks like it's far ahead of everybody. Funny how the second part has less downloads. I always wonder why second or later parts always have less downloads form the first one (even if you have to download all parts). All in all Junji kicks ass and deserves those 3 spots up there.
Guro being guro and me being a fan of it I'm actually quite happy it's being spread around. There's no way that many people visit this blog so I'm guessing my links are being spread around a lot and that's a good thing and I encourage it. So whoever you people are keep doing what you are doing because you are making me very ureshiiiii~

I always wet myself when I look at this. :D
For future plans I intend to post much more hot jazz and swing next year and some new guro I found all over the place. I'm also hoping to find some more art books but they are a bitch to find. I'd also like to thank everyone who helped me out find things on my wishlist. I still can't believe how hard it is to find Kazuo Umezu mangas scanlated. I'm also considering to post comics that are not from Japan and by that I mean American comics mostly, I guess. While I do read a lot of superhero comics I don't think they would fit here and I hear they are quite cheap nowadays so there's no point in me sharing them but Marvel and Dark Horse also do other stuff that's rather interesting to read like Alien comics which have some really great art. The question is would people be interested in it? I would also love to share some European comics but most stuff that circulates on the net is in Italian which sucks. I'm considering to do one scanlation of Dylan Dog myself but I have no idea in what I'm diving into so I have no idea how will that go if I decide to do it.
That's about it I think. This is the last post of this year. See you next year. Till then my darling please wait for meeee, till then no matter when it will beeee...
