Rina Ketty - Etoiles De La Chanson

I'm sure pretty much everyone heard of Edith Piaf well this is something similar but better in my opinion. Lots of songs on this record and I'm not really sure if this is a re-master or just a rip from an old vinyl but it sounds great. She was popular during WW2 but afterwards she kinda fade away.

  2. I've been building a file of versions of J' Attendra, my favorite instrumental version being by The Quintette of the Hot Club of France, ripped from a short film from the 30s called Le Jazz Hot. I've heard a few vocal versions of varying quality, and Rina Ketty's beats them all. It's plaintive and loaded with charm. The WWII backing music is just as perfect as the vocal. Thanks for this one!
