Izae is a relatively new folk band from Croatia. So far they released a few albums that come and went pretty much unnoticed over here. Now that doesn't mean they suck it's more due to the fact that people aren't really interested in music like this here. Anyway, Teatro Lunatico is their latest release that came out in 2009. The atmosphere of the album is relaxing if not even dreamy, I can't really remember any frantic or fast song. So it's mostly music for laying back and staring into empty space. Happy things. Another enjoyable feat of this album is that it packs a large variety of instruments so it's never just guitar + voice. There are accordions, violins and sometimes some weirdo noise sounds but everything is arranged carefully so not all songs have the same instruments which makes it much more entertaining (at least for me). Check this one out, I think you'll like it if you like folk music.

Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThat Charlie Parker With Miles Davis - Bird & Miles demonstrates that you have a very educated ears.
Still you should try listening to more Keiji Haino.
Thanks. :D
ReplyDeleteWell perhaps you could recommend where to start with Keiji?
