Cavity - Supercollider
Cavity is one of those bands that was really good but never quite made it to the big league so it stayed in the underground department and faded away after a while. They released 4 albums in their career and I can't really say I heard all of them but Supercollider is considered to be the best of all of their releases (if we don't count the compilation which technically isn't an album). So what you basically get is sludge in its primal form which is raw, noisy and heavy as fvck riffs with great vocals. If you are looking for some fun this is all you need.

Cab Calloway - Volume 2 1930-1931
I can't really say that I enjoy his later works but that is mostly because I just don't like it. I can't really say that it's bad. On the other hand his early days is where it's at for me which makes this album pretty much all i need. Here you can find all of his old time classics in top quality and they are not remastered from what I managed to perceive with my own ears. Swing is swing and there's really not that much to explain here. All I can say is that those who like swing will definitely enjoy this a great deal. Which is the main reason I uploaded it in FLAC.
If you don't like flac well just convert it to mp3 and that's that.

Jiro Matsumoto - Keep On Vibrating
What I especially like about this book is that with each story the author tried something different and perhaps something that he does not usually do. If you are not familiar with this artist here's how it goes: just how Suehiro Maruo takes influence from the 20s and 30s Germany so does Jiro take influence from the 70s. Now then, what happened the most in the 70s? Lots of drugs, sex and psychedelic experiences. It even reflects his drawing style to some amount. The drawings are all drawn a bit chaotic (take note that the front cover is nothing like what he usually draws) but it is not blown out of proportions so you can actually see what's going on.
I have read this a long time ago so I can't really remember what the stories were about. I can tell you though that there is a particular story called Iwa and Izaemon (or something like that, I'm too lazy to check) that I really liked. It's a story about two kids who go around wearing gas masks and playing with various things that they encounter (like with a porn actress who is fucking a pig :S) while they look for food for their drunk mother. It's kinda creepy and it is now stained in my mind forever.
Anyways, if you like a bit of psychedelia in comics then I think this is the thing for you.

Charlie Parker With Miles Davis - Bird & Miles
Anyway, let's jam with some mighty great jazz. Miles and Charlie were and still are highly respected jazz musicians. They had very eventful and diverse careers. Miles was more of a cool man with huge glasses playing slowly and smooth while Charlie was more a man of grindcore (read that as fast). So one day these two collided and made this album and finally you get best of the two worlds.

Insect Warfare & Hatred Surge - Split
Insect warfare leans more to the metal side of things, far more growling vocals, heavy guitars and of course blast beats. Hatred Surge is actually a side band (sort of) of the bassist from Insect Warfare but nevertheless they sound nothing like IW on this split. Their side is grindcore as well (I guess?) but the type that leans more to the hardcore punk sound. What I also enjoyed is the dual vocal combo on the Hatred Surge side between a male and a female. <3

The Dream of a Ridiculous Man (Сон смешного человека)
Director: Aleksandr Petrov
Genre: Drama
Duration: 20 min
Language: Russian (with separated English subtitles)
Whenever I want to write this I get interrupted. >_>
The Dream of a Ridiculous Man is a short story by Fyodor Dostoevsky written in 1877. It chronicles the experiences of a man who decides that there is nothing to live for in the world, and is therefore determined to commit suicide. A chance encounter with a young girl changes his mind.
What we have here is an animated version of Fyodor's story. I didn't read the book so I can't really tell you how much it is different from the movie but I can tell you that the setting and the overall feel of the whole movie is very much macabre (I guess that would be the appropriate word?). Be it good or bad it's up to you to decide.
What really stands out here is the art and the technique of the animation. In the most simplest way of explaining I guess you could say that this whole movie is an moving oil painting. That's at least how I look at it anyway. :P At some parts the animation can get a little weak with only just three or four frames showing movement but for the most part it's fluidity is not that much compromised. Honestly speaking I never quite saw anything like this animated so if you aren't interested in the story you can at least check if out for the unique way of how this was done.
It should work now. Either just extract everything with 7zip or join with hj split and then extract with zip or winrar.
I don't know for who should I vote.
Presidential elections are in two days or so and I have no idea for who to vote. And I want to vote because I like to play democracy. :(
If you are wondering on what side of politics they are here's how it is: both are dirty red communist scum. The one on the left is still a socialist drug and the other one is a former drug because he was kicked out of the party when he decided to play president. I don't know which one would be a prettier mannequin; the one on the right has a better beard but the one on the left is more moe. For who would you vote? I think I'll just write "ADOLF HITLER WAS A SENSITIVE FLORIST" all over the voting paper.
Suehiro Maruo - DDT
There are two versions of this book. One came out in 1983 and the other one in 1999. Seems like that this scan is the 1983 version according to the ISBN numbering. But who cares anyway?
This was Suehiros third book and I can't really say this is one of my favorites from him. I don't know, everything just seems kinda out of place here. It starts off with some surreal poetry accompanying with all kinds of imagery but that's pretty much just the warm up. All other stories (if I remember right) are all very much non-surreal so to speak. Most of them are very sexual in nature, full of perverts and prostitution. So yeah, this one could be even called hentai manga. There's one interesting sort of autobiographical story of young Suehrio in school. That one was hilarious for some reason.
By this time Suehrio already established his signature art so it's not that sloppy as is it was in his previous work. While it is his thing it's not that quite psychedelic as it is in his more newer works. You won't see dozens of eyes drawn to indicate movement or those long strolling screams and creepy looks. Despite that the art is quite good and I don't really think anyone else draws like this in the manga world. And as usual his fetish for Germany in its 20s is still very present and his love for old horror movies as well. I can't really recommend this if you are new to Suehrio but if you are already familiar with his work you know what to expect; more or less.
