Raoh murdered everyone I uploaded.

Not cool man. I made this account on the day this blog was made. I was sort of attached to it.

Looks like everything I uploaded so far is gone. This whole blog is doing the totentanz while I'm busy failing my exams at college.

A question to fellow Mediafire uploaders: are your links removed if you name them more subtly like DHD7 or something like that (I'd really like to avoid rapidshare if I can because it's a bitch to free users)?

  2. rapidshare really isn't the bitch it was a year ago. Like MediaFire, they gave up on the waiting game discovering, surprise surprise, that it is more popular (and thus more profitable) to be useful to its users :) -- sorry to hear about the account shutdown; I do fear we will hear more of these before they go away, but trust me, they will go away and we shall prevail because we, those who love the information (whatever it may be) are the lifeblood of those companies. They will realize it, or perish, either way, we will win. I just fear there's going to be some heartache along the way, that's all.

  3. My mediafire files don't have vague names. But I also probably have far less files than most blogs. Not sure what the best solution is. However, I have most of your Maruo manga files saved, in case you need those.

man this sucks :/ and i guess if you limit the titles into acronyms it would work. i never had mediafire for too long with too much

I suggest subtle naming, and no referring (anonymize the links or force users to copy/paste). Possibly a password as well.

    What the f**k?
    That really sucks!
I only uploaded stuff that I made myself and none of them were removed.

  7. I can confirm that Rapidshare currently caps free users to 30kbps, and Mediafire deletes whole accounts when one piece of copyright material is discovered (although they won't search archives that are subtly named, unlike Fileserve).

I recommend iFolder.ru, although it's a bitch to use without a download manager.

  8. Shit man, that one must've hurt.

Subtle naming gets you covered for sometime, at least with mediafire, though every once in a while accounts get closed thanks to lonely people reporting them...

Be cool though, for everything your blog has provided me from, patience is the least i can offer till you sort your shit out.

  9. Well, I haven't had my entire account deleted, but I received a notice from Mediafire that I have one track that has been suspended due to complaints. Then, I checked my blog and noticed that the post this was associated with had been removed. It had just been set to draft with a message saying that I need to remove this offending track and then I can republish my post. This is one track on a 60's Brazilian psych folk record that is probably helping the artist gain more exposure to his material. This is getting way too out of hand. We are not criminals here- just music lovers who have the desire to share music we love with everyone. What's the harm in doing this?
